Welcome to the BwhoUR Network! Tell us alittle about yourself (and don't be shy!)
Well, I am a 35 year old married mother of one special little boy named after my husband and my Dad. I never wanted kids until I held him in my arms and I knew that I was meant to be his mother and nothing else would ever be as important.
I love my family, my friends, God, and my animals. I live in the country and I love it most of the time. Every so often I need a city-fix and I get into Houston and go wild.
I love Mexican food and Japanese food almost equal. I could alternate eating fajitas and sushi everyday and pepper in some pizza and chocolate for variety.
I love TV and movies. Love music. Love art. I have been blessed to wander through some of the best museums in the world to see the artwork I studied in college.
College was a great time. Too bad I don't remember a lot of it.
We live on a large working cattle and horse ranch in Texas. Who would think that living amongst livestock would be such a circus? The craziness seems to follow us, just read my blog and see for yourself.
I love my computer. Without it I feel like I've lost my left arm. And I'm left handed.
I can cook up a storm but only when I'm hungry. Like now. I hate to exercise but my body loves it once I talk myself into doing it. I was an athlete in my past life and a pretty good one. I was never a disciplined athlete, just kinda coordinated and lucky.
I'd love to run a marathon. But, after I just told you how undisciplined I am, lets face it: that ain't gonna happen.
I'm pretty normal. Pretty opinionated though I've learned to keep my mouth shut. I love helping others. I love life.
Yep, that's about it!
I bet you have some hidden talents... lets hear about them! Should you be on American Idol? Play the piano? Are you a whiz on the computer? In the kitchen? Lets hear about it!
Well, I don't do a lot of it anymore, but I do have some musical ability. I studied piano from the time I was 5 years old until I graduated from high school. Most people don't know that about me. I can sing and play just about any instrument after I fiddle around a bit. I played viola throughout elementary & junior high but gave it up to play the clarinet... I was an athlete in my former life, I got a full ride to Rice University to play volleyball... thats about it! Oh and I make a mean rum cake.
Do you have a business? blog? website? Let us know!
Thank you for joining the B-who-U-R Network. Really, I am so glad you're here. I don't care what age you are, you could be 7 or 75, and I betcha that you'll reap some benefit from this network. Want to know why?
Because at the heart of the matter, we're all alike. No matter what age we are, we want to fit in, want to be liked, want to 'blend in' rather than 'stick out'. Believe me, I know, I've been there, and almost every day I still struggle with my identity. Who am I? What do I really want to do with my life? Why am I letting everyone else's opinions have more weight than my own? Why on earth am I so critical of myself?
I have learned the hard way that its hard to be loved and appreciated for the great person you are if you don't first love and appreciate yourself. And trust me, each and every one of us have unique qualities to cherish and love about ourselves. It is my hope that here on this network, you will be frequently reminded of the greatness that lies inside of you.
It is up to you to give your great qualities, your hopes and dreams, wings to fly. I cannot do that for you. No one but you has the power to change your life. But you can do it! Not only am I pretty sure you can do it too, I am 100% positive that within you lies untapped, marvelous and incredible qualities just beneath the surface waiting to break through.
Give yourself a chance. Love yourself. Trust your heart. Be Bold. Be Strong. Be You.
You'll be surprised at how easy it is once you get started...
I wrote a post on my blog this morning about my recent observations of my son's first grade classmates. The BwhoUR Movement needs to start there! In FIRST GRADE!
If you are a mother, teacher, have any contact with youngsters, I invite you to read this post. It is eye-opening!
I just wanted to send a note out and let you know that I'm still alive! I haven't been able to dedicate much time at all to the network in many months, and for that I deeply apologize. But here I am today, revamping my blog, and I wanted to share something with you:
I added the BwhoUR Badge to my blog and it looks great! Don't believe me? Check it out yourself!

I have had the Beatles on the brain lately. No, I have never been a Beatles fan but have started thinking about them lately since my son has started watching Jonas. The Jonas Brothers sing a song about falling in love with the pizza girl that sounds strangely like the Beatles to me...
Monday, Monday... I know I took liberties with the title, I know the REAL WORDS to the song, but I changed them. Yep, I did.
Anyways, big day ahead. BIG!
Cross you fingers and send positive thoughts my way, will… Continue
Hey there girlie! So glad to hear your job is going great, but it would really suck if I answered the whole 'how are you?' honestly... My baby left this evening at 5 p.m. I know, I know.... I have told myself all the things I am supposed to be telling myself.... Easier said than done to say the least... I should be working on my homework but I would rather sit and moan on my pity potty instead.... LOL!! Hope y'all had a great weekend in baseball -- I know Julie and I are hurting from our weekend of softball! : )
I'm glad you found it! Both Jaret and Pierce were clueless when asked about the truck thing! haha! Did you say that David made the All Star team? They were all so cute out there getting thier awards! Did you happen to see Pierce when he came running up to get his and he ran right out of his flip flop?!! haha! It was funny! Thanks again for having us at the party. Your place is amazing!! "Ranch" seems like an understatement! Hope your summer is going well. Lmk if your boy wants to come over sometime!
Wow! Sounds like David would get along with my husband!! haha! Chris plays guitar and those are a few of his top bands! His taste has expanded some now and he has become more ecclectic but Kiss has remained one of his favs. Perhaps David can come jam with my husband!! LOL!
Hey you! I love the pics you took of the class!! So cute!! Are you getting geared up for David's big day? What kind of music is Mr. David into? Dowloading music already? impressive.
