Welcome to the BwhoUR Network! Tell us alittle about yourself (and don't be shy!)
I am on the 'other' side of life now, with kids grown and 'out of the nest' - I am happily remarried to the love of my life, Dave, and live in Maine with him and our 'fur babies' - Nikita, our black lab, and Mack, our Maine coon cat.
I earned a long delayed M.Ed. degree last year; now I do freelance work in writing and instructional design from my home office. I also own a home-based business, K-Lee's Kreations, making customized home decor, bags, dolls, and critters.
I am a lifelong learner and continue to take distance education courses in areas of interest.
I bet you have some hidden talents... lets hear about them! Should you be on American Idol? Play the piano? Are you a whiz on the computer? In the kitchen? Lets hear about it!
I had a tribute poem (in honor of my Dad, who passed away in 2002) published last year in an anthology entitled "Collected Whispers."
I am a professional seamstress and quilter - my specialty is imprinting photos to make 'memory' quilts, pillows, bags, etc.
What are some important issues facing our young ladies today? How can BwhoUR help them?
*Healthy body image - they don't have to look like some of the alarming 'skeletal' Hollywood stars we have been seeing
*Healthy self-esteem - take pride in high morals and values, modest lifestyles
*Healthy work ethic - put in an honest day's work AND get "equal pay for equal (to men's) work"
Do you have a business? blog? website? Let us know!
Karen, thank you for joining BwhoUR! I have not had a chance to welcome new members in awhile, so I apologize for the delayed welcome! I hope you will carve out your niche here on the network and promote it to your friends as well! The more the merrier!
